
The Institute of Hospitality have endorsed the Aspiring Managers Programme.
This is a formal recognition of the quality and credibility of the course and its' contents.

The Aspiring Managers programme, began in April 2007. This year the programme is running in Exeter, Bristol and Cornwall. Developed by the Tourism Skills Network and delivered by industry professionals, the programme offers a unique opportunity for first line managers in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Aspiring Managers is a dynamic, industry-focused, management development programme designed to produce leaders of the future. The programme is aimed at first level managers and supervisors from any size tourism, hospitality and leisure business in the South West region. Through a year-long development journey, aspiring managers in the region will gain the skills and knowledge to develop in to the next generation of industry leaders. During the programme, participants will develop their own leadership abilities through collaboration with their peers from other businesses, and benefit from expert industry briefings and exposure to a variety of different management approaches.
Places on the programme are limited and acceptance on to the programme is through an application process.
On completion of the programme participants will be able to:
- Build, motivate and maintain a successful team
- Lead with enthusiasm and confidence
- Generate new ideas and opportunities that will take their organisation forward
- Appreciate their role in the tourism and hospitality industry in the South West
- Develop their leadership qualities and become ambassadors for the region
Workshops cover 6 core management modules and feature guest industry speakers with first-hand knowledge and experience to share with delegates. Modules include:
